The Tactical Training Centre Police Judo Club
This Police Judo program is managed by civilian Head Instructor Brian Shipper, and provides training for volunteers, recruits, applicants, and sworn police officers out of the new Tactical Training Centre Combatives Gym. TTC Police Judo practices run every Monday and Wednesday nights from 19:30-21:30 hours. Simon Fraser University Police Judo
This popular judo program was introduced in the Fall of 2010 through the SFU Faculty of Recreation. Adult Police Judo classes run every Tues, and Thurs in the SFU Central Gym from 19:30-21:30 hours. The Justice Institute of BC Police Judo Club
In September 2012, Ret. Cst. Al Arsenault introduced Police Judo to the Justice Institute of British Columbia in New Westminster, B.C., creating a total of three Police Judo Clubs in British Columbia - all training with the same street-proven systems developed by the original VPD Judo coaches. Police Judo Junior Club
Junior Judo is a recreational practice that is designed for participation from both parents and kids. The focus of these practices will be to allow the children to participate in judo-based games, exercises, and activities, and to have fun while playing and learning judo. Open to youth aged 8-15 years.
The Police Judo Junior Club is run by and Chin-I Hsiang and Tak Izumi at SFU with the support of a number of SFU Police Judo volunteers, every Monday (advanced - 18:00-19:30), Tues and Friday night - 18:30-19:30 hours in the SFU Central Gym. As of Jan 2016, Police Judo Juniors is a sanctioned Judo BC club and youth will have to register with Judo BC to participate in this program. For students interested, they may compete in Judo BC sanctioned tournaments.
