Thank you for your interest in Police Judo! The information below outlines the Police Judo Club locations, contacts and practice times. Please note that all prospective students in any Police Judo Program will be required to obtain a valid Law Enforcement Training Association (LETA) Membership.

Current club locations:

  • VPD Police Judo - Tactical Training Centre, Vancouver

  • Kamloops Police Judo - Aberdeen Judo Academy, Kamloops

  • OSP Police Judo - Odd Squad Productions, Burnaby

Please note that these club locations are no longer in service and those classes moved to the OSP Police Judo location in Burnaby:

  • Simon Fraser University Police Judo, Burnaby

  • Simon Fraser University Police Judo Juniors, Burnaby

  • Justice Institute BC Police Judo, New Westminster

 

The Vancouver Police Department Police Judo

The VPD Police Judo Club trains Monday and Wednesday between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm at the Tactical Training Center (TTC), 2010 Glen Dr. in Vancouver. The TTC is a secure facility. For non-VPD employees, a reference from a VPD member, as well as a criminal record check and security clearance are required to train here. All paid employees of the VPD are able to practice at VPD Police Judo free of charge.

The Odd Squad Police Judo

The OSP Police Judo Club hosts multiple classes on different days of the week at the Odd Squad Productions Society, 5487 Lane Street, Burnaby. See registration page for more information.

The Kamloops Police Judo Club:

Currently, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Police Judo Programs in Kamloops are on hold. We anticipate a return to training in January 2021.

The Kamloops Police Judo Club trains every Wednesday night between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm and is located at 1465 Pearson Place – in the Aberdeen Judo Academy.

Odd Squad Women's Police Judo Club

The Odd Squad Police Judo Women's Club trains every Sunday from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm. Members joining this program can register under "Program Registration" and must be a LETA member.

For new members, LETA Basic Membership fee ($50.00) and Odd Squad Police Judo Women's Club registration ($150) are required. The head instructor for this program is Yuki Yokosawa (former Silver Olympic Silver Medallist) and the program is managed by S/Cst. Chin-I Hsiang. For more information chinihsiang@gmail.com.

Training Attire:

If you have a training gi or martial arts uniform, feel free to wear it.  If you do not have a judogi, sweats and a long-sleeved T-shirt or hoodie will suffice for the first few classes. A judo gi will be required if you are continuing to train.

Each location has different parking requirements. If this is a concern, please contact the instructor
