Our training floor
Our judo mats are supported by real steel spring training floors underneath. The steel springs are 4.5 inches tall and placed every square foot, accompanied by two layers of birch plywood and 2-inch thick roll-out mats ontop. The Instructors of Police Judo are committed to providing the best training surface possible for skill acquisition in our programs. A sprung training floor is the Police Judo standard. By investing significant resources into a resilient and shock absorbing floor, we have created a safer training environment, reduced the impact of throws and takedowns, and enhanced the speed, technique and judo skills of our students.
