Our teen judo class offers young athletes a chance to learn self-defense while boosting fitness and confidence. Teens will master judo techniques like throws, pins, and groundwork with skilled instructors passionate about the sport. Our structured curriculum helps teens advance through belt levels and set personal goals. Beyond physical strength and agility, teens gain life skills such as discipline, focus, and resilience. Join us for a fun, challenging workout that leaves teens empowered and accomplished.

Our women’s judo class is led by female instructors and welcomes female teens and adults interested in learning judo. Experienced instructors create a safe, supportive space to develop self-defence skills, improve fitness, and boost confidence. Beginners and those with martial arts experience are all welcome. Join us for an empowering workout that teaches essential self-defence while building mental toughness, discipline, and focus. Whether aiming to improve fitness or confidence, our class offers a supportive environment for women of all ages to reach their goals.

Recreational Police Judo
Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00PM to 8:30PM
Lead Instructor: Brian Shipper
Our Lead Instructor, Brian Shipper, brings over 30 years of experience to every class, teaching students of all skill levels. Our curriculum focuses on recreational fundamentals with a specific emphasis on techniques applicable to law enforcement.
While we cover a wide variety of Judo—including groundwork and high-yield throws—every class is structured for the maximum safety of you and your training partner. Classes are engaging, fun, and provide a great workout. We welcome everyone, though we do recommend that brand-new students complete our Intro to Judo class first. Come sharpen your skills and improve your conditioning in a supportive, professional environment!

Recreational Police Judo – Advanced
Tuesdays from 7:00PM to 8:30PM
Thursdays from 5:00PM to 7:00PM
Lead Instructor: Ret. Sgt. Toby Hinton
Tuesday night open judo practice is a recreational judo practice for all Police Judo students who want to develop their judo skills and throws while Thursdays will focus primarily on judo groundwork as well as linkage from throws to judo groundwork. Orange belt or higher is recommended.

Judo Fundamentals

Lead Instructor: Keith Durrant
Keith Durrant, Kodokan Judo 7th Degree Black Belt. Join Instructor Keith Durrant, with over 35 years of judo training and experience from lapan, for a practice session focused on the fundamentals of judo. This program is ideal for all students who wish to develop the core skills essential for judo.
(Note: Students must have completed the “Intro to Police Judo” before participating in this class.)

Saturday Circuits and Judo Fitness

Every Saturday 10:00AM to 11:30AM
Great for fitness, self defense and those interested in, or currently working in law enforcement. This Police Judo Training Program focuses on fitness and the tactical aspects of Police Judo training and is taught by Ret. Sgt. Mark Steinkampf. For individuals with no previous judo or police judo training it is recommended to take the Intro Course (offered 3 times a year).
